Treadmill: Basic but Realiable
So when I go to the Gym I spend an average of 15 - 20 Minutes on the treadmill. Working up to a brisk run with intermediate walking spread throughout the time spent on that patricular piece of equipment. I definitly think that this helps a) with cardio and heart rate and then with b) a nice warm up. I enjouy the heat that spreads through my body when utalizing the treadmill. Although it is increadible boring - I find I like the basic aspect of it. I don't have to read something on how to properly opporate it.
I give 10/10 easy and for all stages of workout people.
PRO TIP: Going on a walk out in the wilderness called your backyard achieves same result -- for FREE. But if you're like me you need the extra push to do something. \
Eliptical: More Painful than Expected
I do not like it. Not one bit. I can handle like 2 minutes but then I feel my soul slowly start to seep out and die very painfully (along with my thighs) . . . But if you are like my best friend Mia(she is pretty chill not gonna lie)you might be able to handle this beast for like 15 minutes OR MORE . . . I salute you. My review is very bias due to my dislike. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS WORKOUT MACHINE. I just do not enjoy it nor do I feel comfortable while using it. I still use it once in a blue moon - but it is still painful
You might gaze upon this machine and think that it looks easy and wonderfully different. It is different - boy is it different.
I give it 6/10
Weights: Solid
For certain weights(handheld) you don't need to have someone spot you or have someone trach you how to do it. Handheld weights are pretty straightforward. Start with the lowest and work your way up. Usually this means starting at 5 lbs. I am currently averaging 10 - 15 lbs when I lift. Its a lot of progress that I have made. I am not lifting 50 lbs weights - but I wasnt expecting myself to be able to do that for a while still. Overall I think weights are a good way to work on your arms and somewhat upper body.
I give it a 8/10 because if you are not carefull you could pull something and hurt yourself. Also I need to actually like go to a class to you know . . . learn.
Stationary Bikes: No Thanks - Ouch!
Just don't do it. Nope. Not. Worth. It. -50/10 (THATS A NEGATIVE)
Rowing: My arms need a break!
Okay, I can get behind the usefullness of this piece of equipment. If you personnally are learning how to row and are joining a rowing team. Full send. Please utalize this training equipment. But if you are like me and are not that adventurous -- there is like no need to use it. I mean I imagine it would work wonders for your upper body but like, if we are being honest my body does not like compacting itself that way.
7/10 seems a little high but I guess it is accurate.
Work out DVDs: Basically a drug! Just Kidding!!
I love workout DVDs. Especially when I am the only one in the Gym so I can make a complete fool of myself and have fun. I find I spend a lot of time laughing. It is also so much easier to complete a workout when someone is telling you what to do (and bonus they are not actually watching you while you get all sweaty).
The only downside is how addictive they are . . . at least for me. Like if I could I would just do one after the other. But I have a busy life and I cannot do that.
5000000000/10. Thats right. You definitly did not read all those zeros.
Hope you enjoyed the first review of the equipment I have been using pretty regularly (except those stationary bikes. I hate those).
